History: 2008 - 2018

DELWER's first issue came to light at the end of August 2008, and was affectionately known in Christiana as "the newspaper" or "the little booklet" which was available for free every second month in local stores.

The goal was mainly to spread the good news of Christiana and the surrounding (of which there is many). From humble beginnings to 2018, we have grown in readership and in demand. A Facebook page was started with the hope that we could reach 1000 "likes", there are currently over 1000. A small goal achieved.

DELWER issued a total of 64 issues over 10 years. First editions were printed in black and white on real newspaper, then upgraded to white paper and the last editions even boasted a few colour printed pages.

A lot of blood and sweat goes into the planning of any publication. Without every advertiser, writer, photographer and volunteer, the editors would not be able to compile the DELWER.

Keep an eye on this page for editions that will be added.
